| <p>Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has acquired Barmer HVDC Power Transmission Limited for approximately Rs 18.98 crore, including 50,000 equity shares, under a tariff-based competitive bidding process, according to a filing on September 23, 2026. The acquisition, which involved approvals from the Ministry of Power, will see Power Grid establish a 6000 MW, ± 800 kV HVDC transmission system between Barmer-II in Rajasthan and South Kalamb in Maharashtra, along with associated infrastructure.</p> |
