Vedanta Aluminium invests Rs 165 crore for 26% stake in Serentica Renewables' BESS project Back

Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited announced its board approved an investment of Rs 165 crore, representing a 26% stake, in Serentica Renewables India 9 Private Limited (SRI9PL) to integrate a 150 megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for round-the-clock renewable power supply. The project, expected to be commissioned within 12 months, will convert an existing 600 megawatt solar power delivery agreement into a renewable power solution and will be funded on a 70:30 debt-to-equity basis.
